How Ice Works

Ice is one of the five combat attributes in Zenless Zone Zero. Building the Ice anomaly meter to full triggers Assault, which Freezes the enemy and lets heavy hits Shatter them for bonus Ice damage plus a brief stun. Because frozen enemies cannot act and take extra damage, Ice is a strong attribute for both crowd control and team DPS. Ellen Joe is the signature Ice Attack agent, and Lycaon is the premier Ice Stun agent who extends her freeze windows.

Is Ice good for new players?

Yes. Ellen Joe is a strong starter DPS and Ice's freeze gives forgiving crowd control, which makes Shiyu Defense and Hollow Zero much easier early on.

Which stat matters most on Ice agents?

CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG first, then ATK%, because most Ice damage comes from basic and EX Special attacks. Impact only matters on the Stun unit, not on Ellen.
