Tiers reflect a character's damage or utility ceiling, team flexibility, and how much investment they need to feel good — judged against KQM theorycrafting and broad community consensus for the 7.x meta. A lower-tier unit is not "bad"; it is just more situational or demanding than the ones above it.
Tier S 4 characters
Top-tier units that define the current meta. Strong in multiple team types, high damage or utility ceilings, and usually worth pulling when they rerun.
Tier A 4 characters
Excellent characters that perform great with investment or in specific teams. Slightly more niche or demanding than S tier, but never a dead pull.
Tier B 1 characters
Situational or older units. Still usable, often as enablers, F2P bridges, or for roster completion rather than as primary carries.

Does a lower tier mean the character is unusable?
No. Tiers rank ceiling and flexibility, not fun or viability. Many B-tier units clear all of the game's content with the right team, and several are best-in-class enablers for the characters above them.
How often is this list updated?
With every major version and notable balance shift. New 5-stars are placed after their kits are understood, and older units move when the meta around them changes.
Should I pull based on tier alone?
Pull for the teams you enjoy and the units that enable your roster. A character one tier below your favorite pick is usually a better pull than a higher-tier one you will never use.
