W-Engines are ZZZ's weapons. S-Rank signatures are best-in-slot for their agent; A-Rank engines from the standard/event banners are strong free alternatives. Key S-Rank engines: Fossilized Core (Ellen), Crackle Reverb (Zhu Yuan), Spring Embrace (Nekomata), Heartstring Nocturne (Soldier 11).

Ranks and Sources

S-Rank W-Engines are limited signatures with the highest stat budgets. A-Rank engines come from the standard and event banners and several are best-in-slot on F2P teams (The Brimstone, Weeping Gemini, Kaboom the Cannon, Spectral Gaze, Starlight Engine). B-Rank engines are filler.

Signature vs Alternative

Signatures are tailored to one agent's kit (Fossilized Core rewards Ellen's dash; Crackle Reverb ramps Zhu Yuan's Ether). A-Rank alternatives are close enough for most accounts — Weeping Gemini for Zhu Yuan/Nekomata, The Brimstone for any Attack agent, Kaboom the Cannon for Nicole, Spectral Gaze for Anby.

Which to Refine

Refine The Brimstone and Starlight Engine first (generic, used on many agents). Refine signature engines only if you main that agent. Battle Pass engines (The Brimstone) are the best value for free-to-play accounts.
